This striking make-up look is a classic -
but it does require a bit of practice.

You can either use a liquid or a creme eyeliner. A liquid liner has a tip that gives you good control to draw your line or a cream liner, has a creamy texture and it doesn't dry out, you will need a thin liner brush for the application. A good idea to use pointed cotton buds to help tidy up if needed. This vampy look can be as subtle or dramatic as you wish.

Firstly think about how thick you would like your line to be. Its a good idea to begin with a thin line and then you can make it thicker as you go on.
  • Start off by applying the eyeliner at the inner corner of your eyes, make sure you get as close as you can to the lash line and there isn't any skin showing inbetween. If your feeling confident enough the draw across the eyelid free hand. Use the cotton buds if you make any mistakes. if your not sure, follow on.
  • Gently pull the skin so its taut and draw the liner outwards to the outer corners of the eyes.
  • To create the flick: Draw a short line from the outer corner of your eye and angle it where you want your flick to be. This will differ for each eye shape, try experimenting to see what is best suited to you.
  • Extend the upper line to meet the lower one to create a triangle. If you're happy with where the flicks are then fill in the gap to complete the line.
  • Once filled, go over and check to make sure there are no gaps left. This is when you should tidy up any mistakes you might have made. Just damp the cotton bud and tidy.
  • To finish apply plenty of mascara to your lashes for a pretty look, or if you would like more definition add a bit of brown shadow into the crease of the open eye.
