Tomboy Ponytail

Tomboy Ponytail

To Get The Look:
  1. To get this look, hair doesn't have to squeaky clean. Brush your hair to detangle and section it in 3 to 4 sections.
  2. Section by section spray using a hairspray that gives shine remembering not to hold the spray to close to your head. Use the tips of your fingers to gently blend the product throughout the roots.
  3. Now use your hairdryer to blast at the roots on a high heat to create a messy look. While you do this scrunch and massage the root area, this will help give the hair texture.
  4. Section your the hair around your temples and comb the section with your tailcomb.
  5. Individually pull the sections around towards your nape and secure with a elastic band. Allow the remaining hair to drop from the top of your tied section. Now you should have a neat side profile.
  6. Backcomb the rest of the hair, leaving the crown area, the crown area must lay flat. This will give you a fuller look at the back of your head.
  7. Create a clean side parting and roughly curl the loose strands framing the face, so its a soft wave.
  8. Now secure all your hair at your nape of the neck, including your previous sections with a elastic band. Ensure their is a refined bulbus shape just above the ponytail.
  9. Rub some styling cream between your fingers and run through the ponytail and front. This will keep the style intact and settle any flyaways you may have.
  10. Curl random sections of your ponytail to create a wave. If the curls look too artifical, run your fingers through them to flattern them they will eventually drop, or alternatively use a flat iron and go over the curl lightly to try straighten the curl a little.
  11. Spray with hairspray if required.
